Developed to be a practical guide to intensive aquaculture for the practicing aquaculturist, this book is the reference text for the popular Cornell University & Freshwater Institute's Short Course on Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).

Contents include basic principles behind biofilter systems, gas conditioning equipment, solids capture, waste treatment and management, culture vessel design, pumps and fluid mechanics, control and monitoring systems, building standards, ventilation and heating requirements, biosecurity and engineering economics.
