Double-Ended Metal Halide Lamps, HQI

Recommended for reef systems
Metal halide lamps can be one of the most important factors in a successful reef system. Higher Kelvin color temperatures closely replicate that of sunlight (10,000K–30,000K) and are generally recommended for reef systems. As they drop in output by approximately 30% after 12 months, yet continue to use the same amount of power, we recommend changing lamps at least every 12 months.

Note: Lamps are also known as bulbs.
