AC Electrical Current Sensor

Safety first!
This AC electrical current sensor is a non-contact sensor that can be used to detect the presence or absence of AC voltage in insulated wires, wall receptacles, fuses, junction boxes, switches and other voltage-carrying electrical systems in order to prevent electrical shock. It is ideal for locating defective grounds, energized circuits, reversed polarity and induced voltage.

No contact is required to locate voltage, so the sensor can be operated without disconnecting your system. Simply place the sensor on the test area and, if voltage is present, the tip will light up cherry red. This is the only instrument of its type for use by OSHA compliance officers. It is patented and UL-listed.

Made in USA. Operating range 50–1,000VAC. Powered by two AAA batteries (included). Measures 6" long x 3/4" diameter.
