Nitroprene InsulationNitroprene is a unique foam material with better insulating ability than other types of closed-cell foams. Available in sheet form for tanks and sleeves for pipes. Sheet insulation is 48" wide and sold by the 30-foot roll. Sleeves fit standard pipe diameters and come in 6' lengths. The expanded closed-cell structure prevents condensation or frost on cooling systems and chilled water/refrigeration lines. It also reduces heat loss for hot water plumbing and other applications. The flexible material is ideal for insulating large suface areas, such as tanks, irregularly shaped vessels, air ducts and pipes. Low thermal conductivity (K value: .00193 BTU/(hr*in*ºF)). Temperature range: -104 to 221ºF (-40 to 105ºC). Ozone- and UV-resistant. Handles tearing, rough handling and severe site conditions. |
