Chloramine-TTypically used as an antiseptic and odor control agent. It can also eradicate parasites and bacteria when cleaning tanks and equipment. Chloramine-T is stable in aqueous solutions for many months when kept in the dark. Can inhibit nitrification and should not be used in systems with a biofilter unless the biofilter is taken offline first. Remove with activated carbon before putting the biofilter back online. Not FDA-approved for use on food fish. |
