ProLine® Sodium BicarbonateSodium bicarbonate is used to raise the alkalinity and the pH (when conditions are right) of fish-raising water. Recirculating aquaculture systems typically require weekly or bi-weekly additions. Our sodium bicarbonate is FCC food-grade, complying with National Science Foundation Standard 60. It is powdered to dissolve quickly and completely. To increase total alkalinity 10 ppm in 1,000 gallons of water requires .15 lb. Sold in 4-lb jar or 40-lb plastic buckets with resealable lids.
