Algae Plates

The plate method is a great approach to maintaining clean algal production with minimal time invested. These algae plates are produced under sterile lab conditions for clean stock cultures.

To initiate a culture, individual colonies can be removed by scraping from the plate and then placing it in a test tube with sterile media. The strains come from production settings and are maintained at warmer temperatures; therefore, they are better adapted for warmer culture conditions.

These plates can be stored for up to 5 months in the refrigerator.
