Fish Cage KitIf you have a pond, you can raise fish in cages.
Whether you are raising fish as a hobby, for profit, or just to stock your pond, cages may be what you need. Cage culture provides many advantages over general pond culture. Since the animals are confined, harvesting is a simple matter of raising the cage in the water and dip netting the fish. Cages allow large quantities of fish to grow in a small area. Feeding is simple, observation of the fish is easy and, perhaps most importantly, predators cannot get to the fish! Lakes, rivers and streams can be used for aquaculture. The cages we offer are proven designs. They are easy to setup, user friendly, long lived and gentle on the fish. Each is all plastic, and they have feed retaining rings to prevent feed from floating out of the cage.
1 1/2 to 2 lbs/ft3 is our recommended carrying capacity (at harvest) without aeration or circulation in good water. Maximum fish capacities are higher and assume adequate aeration/circulation. Made in USA.
