Beta-MealA natural source of antioxidants and color enhancement for fish and shrimp.
This algae meal is a spray-dried powder derived from the marine microalgae Dunalliella salina. It contains a very high level of beta carotene and works extremely well as a color enhancer for shrimp, koi, tropical fish and others. Mainly used as a feed additive, it can also be used as a stand-alone diet for larval fish, shrimp and filter feeding organisms. Each gram of Beta-Meal contains not less than 20 mg of beta carotene. It has a typical bulk density of .6 g/cc and more than 90% passes through #40 mesh. Typical analysis: beta carotene 2%, crude protein 10%, crude fat 9%, carbohydrate 9%, moisture 5%. Sold in 1-lb (454 grams) container, larger quantities available. |
